Biopuncture

One unique treatment modality that has been a valuable tool in Dr. Gordin’s therapeutic toolkit for over 30 years, is biopuncture. Particularly helpful in treating chronic pain, biopuncture was developed over a century ago in Europe.

Based on the rationale that chronic pain is perpetuated by persistently compromised microcirculation undermining the repair of injured issues, biopunture brings together homeopathy, orthomolecular medicine, and acupuncture.

“Bio” implies the use of natural biological material like homeopathic remedies or nutrients (NAD). “Puncture” implies the injection of the material into the blocked acupuncture points, resulting in restored/improved microcirculation. It is not uncommon to find these blocked acupuncture points in post-traumatic/post-surgical scars, and in areas of inflammation-related adhesions.

Because of its more powerful effect in restoring microcirculation in injured tissues, Dr. Gordin first administers biopuncture, followed by acupuncture to promote overall relaxation and healing.

Neural therapy (NT), a close relative of biopuncture, is another technique commonly used by Dr. Gordin to treat persistent pain. It primarily involves intradermal injection of local anesthetic into the surface areas believed to cause an interference field, or disruption, of the autonomic nervous systems. To identify such areas, Dr. Gordin uses pulse diagnosis.
